Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures as per hospital and regulatory guidelines
Conduct regular surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)
Monitor hand hygiene practices and ensure compliance among healthcare workers
Train and educate staff on infection prevention protocols and standard precautions
Conduct infection control audits in all departments (ICU, OT, wards, OPD, etc.)
Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and waste management practices
Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions
Maintain infection control data, reports, and documentation
Coordinate with microbiology department for culture reports and infection trends
Ensure compliance with biomedical waste management rules
Participate in hospital infection control committee (HICC) meetings




Monitor antibiotic usage and support antimicrobial stewardship programs
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by staff
Conduct environmental rounds and ensure cleanliness standards
Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
Positive understanding of microbiology and sterilization techniques
Excellent observation and auditing skills
