The Total Station Surveyor is responsible for conducting accurate land and construction surveys using a Total Station instrument to support construction, infrastructure, and real estate development projects. The role involves measuring land boundaries, setting out project layouts, verifying construction alignment, and ensuring accuracy according to engineering drawings and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Site Surveying & Measurements
Conduct land and construction surveys using Total Station equipment.
Measure distances, elevations, angles, and coordinates accurately.
Perform topographical and boundary surveys for construction sites.
Layout & Setting Out
Mark building layouts, road alignments, and structural positions as per engineering drawings.
Establish reference points and control points for construction work.
Ensure the correct positioning of structures according to site plans.
Data Collection & Analysis
Record survey data and measurements accurately.
Transfer data from the Total Station to survey software or CAD systems.
Prepare survey reports, maps, and documentation.
Coordination with Site Team
Work closely with civil engineers, site supervisors, and project managers.
Verify levels and alignment during construction stages.
Provide survey support for excavation, foundation, and structural work.
Equipment Maintenance
Maintain and calibrate Total Station instruments and other surveying tools.
Ensure proper handling and storage of survey equipment.
Required Skills:
Solid knowledge of Total Station survey instruments:
Understanding of surveying principles and construction layouts:
Ability to read engineering drawings and site plans:
Familiarity with AutoCAD, surveying software, and data processing tools:
Positive analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
