Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
B.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory).
CTET/STET qualified (preferred, as applicable).
Qualifications must comply with CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, NCTE regulations, and applicable State Government norms.

Experience
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school (preferred).

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
Teach Social Science to Classes VI-X in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
Deliver competency-based, experiential, and inquiry-based learning experiences.
Integrate ICT tools, maps, case studies, current affairs, and project-based learning into classroom teaching.
Encourage critical thinking, constitutional values, environmental awareness,



and global citizenship.
Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic calendar.

Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
Prepare competency-based question papers and maintain student assessment records.
Analyze student performance and provide remedial support where required.
Maintain portfolios, progress reports, and academic documentation.

Classroom Management
Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom setting.
Ensure student safety, participation, and respectful behavior.
Promote cooperative learning and active classroom engagement.

Student Development
Mentor students academically and personally.
Prepare students for quizzes, exhibitions, debates, Olympiads, heritage activities, and other CBSE initiatives.
Foster leadership, communication, and social responsibility.
