Role Description This full-time, on-site Logistics Assistant role is based in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.

The Logistics

Assistant supports day-to-day logistics operations, including coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, tracking orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role involves liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries and efficient material flow.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping documentation, assisting with purchasing and replenishment activities, and resolving basic logistics or delivery issues.

Assistant also contributes to continuous improvement of logistics processes by identifying bottlenecks, updating data in relevant systems, and supporting compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Logistics Management skills, with the ability to coordinate shipments, monitor delivery timelines, and support transportation planning.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Management and Purchasing skills to maintain stock accuracy, handle material requisitions, and assist with order placement and follow-up.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Organization Skills to respond to inquiries, manage documentation, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Relevant skills such as proficiency with MS Office, SAP and ERP or logistics systems, attention to detail, and basic data analysis capabilities are beneficial.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, along with prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain support, is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, communicate clearly in English, and follow safety and compliance procedures is required.
