Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and organized Librarian to manage the library’s day-to-day operations, maintain library resources, assist students/users in finding information, and promote effective use of library facilities and digital resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the library.
- Catalog, classify, label, and maintain books, journals, periodicals, and digital resources.
- Issue and return library materials and maintain accurate circulation records.
- Assist students, staff, and other users in locating books and information.
- Maintain and update the library database and records.
- Monitor new publications and recommend books and other resources for acquisition.
- Ensure books and library materials are properly arranged and maintained.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and maintain inventory records.
- Support users in accessing e-books, online databases, and other digital resources.
- Maintain a quiet, clean, protected, and welcoming library environment.
- Prepare reports related to library usage, circulation, inventory, and acquisitions.
- Coordinate library activities, reading programs, orientations, and awareness initiatives.




- Ensure compliance with library policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science (BLIS/MLIS) or equivalent.
- Relevant certification or professional qualification will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in a library, school, college, university, or corporate library is preferred.
- Good knowledge of library classification and cataloging systems.
- Familiarity with library management software and digital resources.

Experience Preferred: 1–2 years of relevant experience, depending on the level of the position.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
