This role will manage a team of Quality Partners to deliver the QA and Product Safety requirements for Clothing products sourced in Asia .
What You'll Do
- Leading the Quality Partners in specific product categories to ensure they are partnering across commercial and sourcing to ensure delivery of great quality , protected own brand products
- This role will partner with our Sourcing Team and suppliers/factories to ensure our own brand products are safe , compliant and great quality for our customers.
- To apply critical thinking and informed decision making to develop risk-based and customer centric product requirements in briefs, desktop review forms and test matrices.
- To ensure the NPD process is implemented for all products
- Lead Quality Partner should continually work to keep their technical and regulatory knowledge up to date to ensure that the advice and guidance rendered to stakeholders is accurate and that they are apprised of upcoming changes.
- To partner with our factories to ensure product safety and quality standards are well understood and implemented for production of our own brand products
- Exercising discipline and governance to ensure that the products launched in our stores meet our requirements by consistently applying the NPD process for Own Brand products .
- Ensuring that product technical files are maintained on PLMS for all own brand product development processes.
- Driving continuous improvement by reviewing customer complaints to identify emerging safety and quality trends and proactively advising on the necessary changes to prevent or reduce them.
- To ensure all factories which produce our own brand products meet the compliance requirements for Woolworths Supplier Excellence and Responsible Sourcing Policy.
- Investigate product incidents (returns, complaints or feedback)
using risk based thinking to determine whether withdrawals or recalls are necessary to ensure the safety of our customers and team.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in Clothing & Footwear quality and product safety standards
- A solid understanding of the standards, industry best practice and legislation for their categories.
- The application of risk based and customer centric thinking in the development of safe and fit for purpose products.
- Strong partnership skills
- Experience leading a small team
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Language - English /Mandarin / Cantonese preferred
- Good planning and organising skills
