About the Role
We are looking for a Lead .NET Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. You will provide technical leadership across the engineering team, set coding standards, mentor engineers at all levels, and play a pivotal role in shaping our architectural direction while staying hands-on with development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance applications using .NET and C#
- Own and drive architectural decisions across the team, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and SOLID principles across the team
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive, high-quality feedback to engineers
- Mentor and coach junior, mid-level, and senior engineers, supporting their technical growth
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for cross-functional teams including product, design, and stakeholders
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Identify and drive resolution of performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups)
- Drive improvements to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and scalability requirements
- Stay current with .NET ecosystem updates and champion adoption of emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with .NET (C#), including .NET Core / .NET 6/7/8
- Proven experience in a technical lead or senior leadership role
- Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Proficiency with ASP.NET Core (MVC, Web API, Razor Pages)
- Deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework Core, Dapper)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, or Blazor) is a plus
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Moq)
- Proficiency with Git and source control workflows (branching strategies, PRs, code reviews)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deploying .NET applications to cloud environments
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cosmos DB)
- Experience with SignalR for real-time applications
- Knowledge of gRPC and GraphQL
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS/Event Sourcing patterns
- Azure or AWS certification
- Experience with Blazor for full-stack .NET development
- Familiarity with observability tools (Application Insights, Datadog, Serilog, OpenTelemetry)
