Role Description The Labour Contractor will be responsible for arranging, supervising, and managing labor resources for on-site construction activities in Guwahati. This contract role includes coordinating daily workforce requirements, ensuring that laborers are deployed efficiently across tasks such as civil works, finishing, and material handling.

The Labour

Contractor will monitor attendance, productivity, and adherence to safety standards, while resolving on-site labor issues and maintaining discipline.



The role also involves working closely with project engineers and site supervisors to align labor availability with project schedules, quality expectations, and compliance with company policies and local regulations. This is an on-site position requiring regular presence at project locations in and around Guwahati.

Qualifications

- Experience in coordinating and supervising construction labor on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of on-site safety practices, labor regulations, and basic compliance requirements.
- Ability to plan daily workforce allocation, track attendance, and manage productivity under tight timelines.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with workers, site management, and vendors.
- Proven ability to resolve in office issues, maintain discipline, and foster a respectful work setting.
- Familiarity with local labor markets in and around Guwahati and the ability to mobilize labor at short notice.
- Prior experience as a labour contractor or site supervisor in construction; experience with infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in varying conditions and adapt to project schedules and demands.
