nMandatory Compliance Requirement:
nThe candidate must be a Registered/Certified Labour Welfare Officer under the Factories Act, 1948, certified by the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH), Government of Maharashtra. Applications without this certification cannot be considered due to statutory requirements.

nRole Summary:
nThe Labour Welfare Officer (LWO) will ensure statutory compliance under the Factories Act and Labour Laws, maintain healthy employee–management relations and implement the welfare and HR initiatives at the manufacturing plant. The role involves statutory welfare responsibilities, employee engagement, IR support, training coordination and day-to-day HR operations.

nPrincipal Accountabilities/Key Deliverables:
n
nA. Statutory Welfare & Compliance
nEnsure full compliance with the Factories Act, 1948 and all relevant labour legislation.
nMaintain statutory registers, welfare records, notice boards, and information bulletins.
nLiaise with DISH, Labour Office, ESIC, PF, local authorities, and government bodies.
nHandle statutory audits, internal/external audits, and customer compliance audits.
nMaintain proper records of plant employees, including contract labour, attendance, overtime, leave, etc.
nPrepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to welfare, compliance, and HR metrics.

nB. Employee Welfare & Support
nAdvise and assist management in providing welfare amenities (canteen, restrooms, first aid, drinking water, creche if applicable, transport, etc.).
nAddress worker grievances, provide counselling, and help workers adjust to working conditions.
nHandle Mediclaim documentation and support employees in claim settlements.
nConduct floor visits and welfare inspections to ensure proper upkeep of facilities.

nC. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
nEstablish contacts and maintain harmonious relations between management and workers.
nPromote transparent communication to ensure productive efficiency and industrial harmony.
nSupport HR team in IR matters, disciplinary actions, and conflict-resolution processes.

nD. HR Operations & Training
nManage joining formalities, onboarding, and induction programmes for new employees.
nAdvise management on training needs and maintain training records.
nAssist HR team in evaluation, development, and implementation of HR strategies.
nSupport and conduct employee engagement initiatives and welfare programs.
n
nE. Liaison & External Coordination
nDevelop and maintain positive relationships with government & non-government bodies for smooth functioning of statutory and welfare activities.

nQualifications & Experience:
nMust be a certified Welfare Officer as per the Factories Act, 1948 from the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (Maharashtra)
nGraduate + MBA / MPM / MSW / MLS or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Labour Welfare, IR or HRM
