About the Role

Zentryx Global Systems Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and technically skilled L1 Network Support Engineer to join our Network Operations team. The role involves monitoring network infrastructure, providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting network-related issues, and ensuring the availability and stability of network services.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of networking concepts, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a shift-based NOC environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor network devices, connectivity, and alerts using NMS and monitoring tools.
- Provide L1 support for network connectivity and infrastructure-related issues.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic routing/switching issues.
- Perform initial diagnosis and resolution of network incidents.
- Monitor and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
- Handle user connectivity issues and provide timely technical assistance.
- Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of network devices under defined procedures.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L2/L3 teams with proper technical details.
- Maintain accurate incident, troubleshooting, and shift handover records.
- Follow defined SOPs, escalation matrices, and network support procedures.
- Coordinate with internal teams, service providers, and vendors for issue resolution.
- Perform basic network health checks and preventive monitoring.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of incidents in accordance with SLA requirements.
- Participate in rotational shifts and provide support during planned maintenance or critical incidents.

Required Technical Skills
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, and OSI Model.




- Basic knowledge of routing and switching concepts.
- Familiarity with VLANs, subnetting, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Cisco/HP/Aruba or equivalent network devices.
- Understanding of common network troubleshooting commands such as ping, tracert/traceroute, ipconfig/ifconfig, and nslookup.
- Basic understanding of VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall concepts.
- Familiarity with network monitoring/NMS tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux troubleshooting is preferred.

Education & Experience
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Network Support, NOC, IT Support, or a related role.
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge will be an advantage.
