About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer to support our architecture and interior design projects. The candidate will be involved in Customer Onboarding and designing, 2D drafting, 3D modelling, working drawings, material selection and basic site coordination under the guidance of senior designers.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Business Development

- Handle customer enquiries via calls, walk-ins, and online channels.
- Understand client requirements and present customized interior solutions.
- Conduct client meetings at the studio or project site to build trust and explain design concepts.
- Prepare and present initial layout designs and mood boards during sales meetings.
- Maintain a follow-up tracker to convert leads into confirmed projects.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly onboarding targets and contribute to studio revenue.

Design Development & Planning





- Assist in developing architectural and interior design concepts based on project requirements.
- Lead design development and space planning for interior projects.
- Select materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures aligned with design goals.
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and layouts using industry-standard software (SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, Corona, 3Ds Max, etc.).
- Apply technical knowledge in materials, execution, and drawing preparation.

Project Execution & Documentation

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design changes, approvals, and progress reports.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, client meetings, and project monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with the manager to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills & Professional Development

1. Help Associate Interior Designers (Freshers) on learning 2D drawing, 3D modelling, and project sign-off documentation.
2. Demonstrate excellent English communication skills in client and team interactions.
3. Apply strong project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
4. Exhibit a high degree of willingness to learn and remain performance-driven.

Technical Skills / Software Knowledge

Required

- AutoCAD – Good working knowledge of 2D drafting, layers, blocks, dimensions, hatches, annotations and layouts.




- SketchUp – Basic to good knowledge of 3D modelling and interior space development.
- Customer handling is a must
- Good understanding of architectural drawings, scale, dimensions and detailing.

Advantage

Knowledge of the following will be an added advantage:

- V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion – 3D rendering and visualisation.
- Revit – BIM and architectural modelling.
- Adobe Photoshop – presentation, mood boards and image editing.
- Adobe Illustrator / InDesign – design presentations and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets for schedules and project documentation.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in architecture, interior design or a design consultancy.
- Good understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, proportions, materials and basic construction details.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and interior drawings.
- Basic knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, joinery and hardware is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and handling multiple project requirements.
- Holds a high degree of willingness to learn and performance driven
