About the role

Cocoplum is a small, founder-led company building its brand from the ground up. We’re looking for a Junior Brand Designer who can help turn early ideas into a distinctive, cohesive identity—and then translate that identity into real, production-ready assets.

This is a hands-on role with broad creative ownership. You’ll work closely with the founder and contribute across brand strategy, visual identity, packaging, digital experiences and pre-launch creative direction.

Success in this role means creating a brand system that feels memorable and consistent wherever someone encounters Cocoplum. You’ll take projects beyond concepts and deliver practical files that our team, developers and production vendors can use immediately.

Responsibilities

- Help define the brand’s positioning, personality, story, mission and values.
- Develop taglines, messaging frameworks, tone-of-voice principles and supporting brand copy.
- Create and refine the visual identity, including the logo and its variations, typography, color system, iconography and photography direction.
- Apply the visual identity consistently across the website, Instagram, YouTube and other digital touchpoints.
- Develop on-garment branding systems, including labels, logo placement and information hierarchy.
- Create a transparent, comprehensive and usable brand guidelines document.
- Help establish the pre-launch creative direction and define how the brand should make people feel from their first interaction.
- Shape the website’s visual direction across the homepage, product pages and broader UX/UI language.
- Collaborate on the implementation and ongoing development of the website.
- Design packaging across boxes, bags, tissue paper, stickers, cards, labels and hangtags.
- Prepare accurate, print-ready packaging specifications and production files for vendors.
- Develop social media content ideas, photography direction, storytelling formats and educational concepts.




- Manage multiple creative projects in a fast-moving environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate directly with the founder, developers, manufacturers and external production partners.

- Cocoplum has a distinctive and cohesive identity that works across physical and digital channels.
- The team has a practical brand system and guidelines document that can be used consistently.
- Final logo packages, packaging specifications and other production files are complete, accurate and ready for external partners.
- Creative ideas move efficiently from early exploration to finished execution.
- The brand’s website, packaging, content and physical touchpoints feel like parts of the same world.
- You bring thoughtful ideas, communicate clearly and take ownership of projects from brief to delivery.

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in brand, graphic or visual design.
- A portfolio demonstrating real identity work across areas such as logos, brand guidelines, packaging and digital design.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Working knowledge of print production, file preparation, color systems, dielines and vendor-ready specifications.
- Strong visual judgment across typography, composition, color and image selection.
- Ability to translate strategic or abstract ideas into clear visual systems.
- Comfortable working independently, making informed decisions and navigating ambiguity.
- Able to move quickly, incorporate feedback and manage several priorities without losing attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, curious, resourceful and open to experimentation.

Experience with wellness, health, fashion, lifestyle or direct-to-consumer brands is helpful but not required.
