Position: IPD Manager

Experience: 5–8 years in hospital IPD operations

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic IPD Manager to manage and streamline the overall operations of the In-Patient Department, ensuring efficient patient care, smooth coordination between departments, and high standards of service quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IPD, wards, and related patient-care areas.
- Ensure smooth coordination of admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed management.
- Supervise and guide IPD staff, ensuring effective manpower utilization and duty allocation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, housekeeping, medical records, and other departments.
- Monitor patient and attendant satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, quality standards, infection-control protocols, and patient-safety guidelines.
- Monitor bed occupancy, patient flow, turnaround time, and other operational KPIs.
- Ensure timely completion and accuracy of patient documentation and discharge processes.
- Conduct regular rounds and identify operational gaps, taking corrective action when required.
- Monitor availability of essential equipment, consumables, and other IPD requirements.




- Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency and patient experience.
- Prepare regular IPD performance reports and present them to senior management.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate team members to maintain high standards of professionalism and service.
- Handle escalations and coordinate with senior management for critical operational issues.

Candidate Profile
- Qualification: GRDUATION/MBA/MHA/PG Diploma in Hospital Administration, or relevant healthcare qualification.
- Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in hospital IPD/operations management.
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations and patient-care workflows.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid team-management and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with hospital information systems (HIS/HMS) will be an advantage.
- Candidates from multi-specialty hospitals will be preferred.
