Role Description The Internet of Things Intern will support the design, development, and testing of IoT-enabled smart bins and related systems in a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with sensor integration, device connectivity, and data transmission between hardware and cloud platforms, as well as participating in prototyping and troubleshooting activities.

The intern will help implement and refine M2M communication protocols, contribute to basic software development tasks, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to validate system performance.



The role also involves documenting technical findings, analyzing device and sensor data to improve reliability, and supporting demonstrations or pilots at customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Internet of Things (IoT), including familiarity with sensors, microcontrollers, and cloud-connected devices.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret device data, diagnose issues, and propose practical improvements.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical work effectively.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of M2M communication concepts and protocols to support reliable device-to-device and device-to-cloud interactions.
- Candidates should possess basic Software Development skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, or embedded programming) for implementing and testing IoT features.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or similar), networking basics, and version control tools is beneficial.
- Interest in sustainability, smart cities, or environmental technology, and the ability to work on-site in Chennai in a cooperative team environment.
