Desired Candidate Profile:

Candidates with experience in International Logistics, Shipping, Freight Forwarding, and NVOCC backgrounds shall only be considered for this role. We are seeking a skilled Pricing Executive with 5+ years of experience join our dynamic team in the International Logistics industry. The ideal candidate will possess experience in procuring competitive freight rates from various shipping lines and NVOCCs.

The Pricing

Executive will be responsible for maintaining meticulous pricing records, negotiating rate contracts with shipping lines, supporting sales functions, analyzing market pricing trends, and securing spot rates in accordance with industry practices.

This role involves several crucial responsibilities within the realm of logistics and shipping management:

- Comprehensive Reporting and Pricing Management: A key aspect of this role is the meticulous upkeep of exclusive reports and the continuous updating of pricing records for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Carrier Coordination and Market Insight: The role involves closely working with carriers to coordinate for pricing. Additionally, it requires providing valuable market intelligence to the Sales and Business Development teams.



Assist in making informed decisions about sales strategies and expansion opportunities.
- Rate Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiation and filing of rate contracts with shipping lines. This involves securing favorable terms and conditions for shipping services, which can have a substantial impact on cost savings.
- Sales Support and Vendor/Customer Relations: The position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Sales function by offering competitive prices to both existing and potential customers. Ensuring support until the carrier booking is confirmed is essential for maintaining strong vendor/customer relationships.
- Market Analysis and Margin Establishment: A critical responsibility is to analyze market pricing trends. This analysis is invaluable for establishing profit margins and enabling effective negotiation strategies. To ensure the company remains competitive and profitable.
- Spot Rate Management: Part of the job involves obtaining spot rates for business in alignment with industry best practices. These rates can be agile and require astute negotiation skills.
- Building and Maintaining Industry Relationships: Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with shipping lines and Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCCs). These relationships can lead to better deals and smoother operations.

Desired Skills:

- Proven experience in procurement and pricing within the logistics or shipping industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates.
- Excellent analytical abilities to interpret market trends and pricing data.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in maintaining pricing records.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
