We are looking for a dynamic and creative Media and Communications Intern to join our team for a on-site position working full-time 5 days of the week out of our office in Bengaluru. This is a limited duration 3 month opportunity (October to December 2026) which could develop into a long-term role based on the performance of the individual and the outcome of the media outreach. The selected person will play a key role in the planning and execution of our media outreach, working at the intersection of content creation and venture capital storytelling. From this internship, the candidate will walk away with a polished portfolio of published high-stakes narratives, direct mentorship from investment partners, and an insider's playbook on how media strategy directly influences deal flow, firm and founder credibility.
Scope of Work
1. Media and Communication Strategy and Structure planning
Before diving into execution, the intern will engage and collaborate with the core team to lay a strong foundation for all media initiatives. This includes:
a) Content Pillar Definition: Identify and finalize 3–4 core content pillars (e.g., Investment Philosophy, Founder Stories, Sector Deep-Dives, Market Reactions) that will guide all podcast, LinkedIn, and video content to ensure consistency and brand alignment.
b) Channel Mix & Cadence Planning: Develop a structured content calendar outlining the frequency, format, and platform for each piece of content (podcasts, LinkedIn posts, YouTube shorts) to ensure a balanced and sustainable publishing schedule across the 4-month period.
c) Guest & Topic Curation:
Research and shortlist potential podcast guests and relevant trending topics, creating a priority matrix based on audience relevance, founder alignment, and potential for engagement — ensuring a diverse and high-impact lineup.
2. Podcast Production & Management a) Ideation & Strategy: Collaborate with the team to conceptualize a series of 6-8 podcasts, developing themes and identifying potential guests.
b) Content Creation: Draft compelling scripts, conversation guides, and infographics to make the content engaging and visually appealing.
c) Project Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with an external media team responsible for recording and post-production to ensure seamless execution.
d) Distribution: Plan and execute the distribution of podcast episodes on appropriate platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
3. LinkedIn Content Strategy and Execution a) Content Ideation: Conduct research and generate ideas for posts on Indian startup investing, venture trends, and founder insights.
b) Writing & Formatting: Write and format at least 1-2 posts per week for the firm's LinkedIn page, which may include:
c) Thought Leadership: Short articles on investment themes, sector trends, and market observations.
d) Trend-Based Posts: Timely reactions to current startup news, funding rounds, and policy changes.
e) Ecosystem Content: Posts celebrating portfolio company milestones, co-investor shoutouts, and sharing founder lessons.
4. Short-Form Video Creation and Distribution a) Content Production: Turn VC insights and investment thinking into 30-60 second videos for platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn.
b) Video Editing:
Edit 1-2 short-form videos per week, which may involve cutting and re-purposing long-form content, or creating current videos using motion graphics, text overlays, and voiceovers.
c) Post-Production: Add proper cuts, subtitles, royalty-free music, and company branding.
5. Performance Tracking a) Planning: Prepare and share an editorial calendar in advance for review and approval.
b) Reporting: Prepare engagement reports tracking impressions, reach, follower growth, and performance of podcasts, shorts, and posts across all channels.
