nAbout the Role

nWe are looking for a creative and customer-focused Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of residential interiors, excellent design skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into functional, aesthetically appealing designs.

nThe designer will be responsible for managing the design journey from initial customer discussions through design finalization, while coordinating closely with the sales and project execution teams.

nKey Responsibilities

n1. Customer Interaction & Requirement Understanding

- Meet customers and understand their lifestyle, preferences, budget, and functional requirements.
n
- Conduct detailed requirement discussions and site visits.
n
- Provide professional design recommendations based on customer needs.
n
- Build strong relationships with customers throughout the design process.

n2. Design Development

n

n
- Develop creative and functional interior concepts for residential spaces.
n
- Prepare layouts, furniture plans, elevations, and detailed design proposals.
n
- Create 2D and 3D designs using tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar software.
n
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, colours, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
n
- Ensure designs are practical, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with the customer's budget.

Design Presentation & Conversion

- Present designs professionally to customers and explain the concept, materials, and specifications.
n
- Incorporate customer feedback and provide revisions wherever required.
n
- Guide customers in making design and material selections.
n
- Work closely with the sales team to support order closure and achieve business targets.
n

n4. Project Coordination

n

n
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, production, installation, and other internal teams.
n
- Ensure finalized designs are accurately communicated for execution.
n
- Address design-related queries during execution.
n
- Ensure there are no discrepancies between approved designs and site execution.
n

n5. Documentation & Process Management

n

n
- Maintain accurate design drawings, BOQs, specifications, and customer approvals.
n
- Ensure all design changes are properly documented and approved.
n
- Follow company design processes, timelines, and quality standards.
n
- Maintain proper records of customer interactions and design revisions.
n

nKey Skills Required

n

n
- Strong knowledge of residential interior design.
n
- Good understanding of modular kitchens, wardrobes, living rooms, bedrooms, and other residential spaces.
n




- Proficiency in AutoCAD,SpaceCraft, SketchUp, 3D visualization software, or equivalent design tools.
n
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware, and interior products.
n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
n
- Good customer-handling and negotiation skills.
n
- Ability to understand budgets and work within commercial constraints.
n
- Strong attention to detail.
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
n
- Good coordination and teamwork skills.

nPreferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
n
- 2–5 years of relevant residential interior design experience.
n
- Experience working with an interior design company, design studio, or modular furniture company will be preferred.
