Role Description The Insurance Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting customers throughout their insurance journey, with a strong focus on claims and policy guidance. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and interpreting insurance policies, advising customers on coverage options, and facilitating communication between customers and insurance providers.

The specialist will help customers prepare and submit claim documentation, track claim status, and resolve issues or escalations in a timely, professional manner. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, collaborating with internal teams to improve processes,



and contributing insights to enhance MITRA’s claim-focused services.

Qualifications

- Solid understanding of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, with experience in policy interpretation and claims handling.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Finance concepts relevant to insurance products and claim settlements.
- Strong Communication skills, including explicit written and verbal interaction with customers and stakeholders.
- Proven Customer Service abilities, with a track record of handling inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, full-time setting, demonstrating self-discipline, reliability, and time management.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort working with documentation and digital tools or CRM systems.
- Prior experience in insurance, claims management, or a related financial services role is preferred.
- Relevant academic background in insurance, finance, business, or a related field is beneficial.
