Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Internal Sales Intern to support our sales and business development team in identifying opportunities, evaluating tenders/RFPs, developing proposals, conducting market research, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is comfortable using AI tools, has strong research and communication skills, and can work independently in a quick-paced environment with tight deadlines. No prior tender or RFP experience is required — but you should be someone who can pick up a compliance-heavy, detail-driven process quickly and stick with it, since a large part of this role involves careful, deadline-bound documentation work rather than only creative or exploratory tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Tender & Opportunity Identification
- Independently research tender repositories using multiple search approaches to identify opportunities aligned with our defined target profile.
- Shortlist relevant tenders and assess their suitability based on defined criteria.
- Prepare clear and concise summaries of shortlisted tenders, highlighting key requirements, timelines, eligibility criteria, scope, and other relevant information.
Proposal & RFP Support
- Develop responses to tenders/RFPs in the client-prescribed format.
- Coordinate with internal teams across departments and external partners to gather inputs and finalize responses.
- Ensure proposals are complete, accurate, and submitted within stringent timelines.
AI & Sales Enablement
- Leverage Claude Code, Claude Chat, Claude Design, OpenAI, or equivalent AI tools for research, analysis, content creation, and proposal development.
- Create and refine professional PowerPoint presentations,
using AI tools to accelerate development and improve presentation quality.
Market & Competitor Research
- Independently conduct competitor research and analysis, with initial training provided.
- Identify and summarize relevant market and competitive intelligence to support the sales team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) to complete a real research, writing, or analysis task — you should be able to describe a specific example of what you did and how AI helped.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Good PowerPoint presentation and content development skills.
- Ability to quickly understand and summarize complex information.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills — comfortable with compliance-heavy, document-driven work, not just open-ended research.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Comfortable working with tight timelines and high-priority deliverables.
- Willingness to work additional hours when required to meet critical tender/RFP deadlines.
Duration: 3–6 months (extendable / potential full time conversion based on performance) Stipend: Competitive, based on experience — [confirm before posting]
Eligibility: MBA students (1st year preferred) or final-year/recent graduates in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who is curious, resourceful, highly driven, and comfortable using AI to get things done faster — and who can independently take a task from research through to a polished deliverable. Equally comfortable with the creative side (research, PPTs, competitive intelligence) and the detail-heavy, procedural side (tender compliance, formatting, deadlines).
