Role Description The Information Technology Service Engineer L1 is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. This role is responsible for providing first-level technical support for rented and leased devices, including laptops, desktops, servers, and other hardware. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues, assisting with device setup and configuration, and supporting customers with connectivity and performance problems.

The engineer will document issues, escalate complex cases to higher-level support when needed, and collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely maintenance and replacement of equipment.



This role also involves maintaining accurate records of service requests and contributing to a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve common hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess foundational Information Technology knowledge, including operating systems, basic hardware components, and common enterprise tools.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support skills, with experience in handling user queries, ticketing systems, and remote or on-site assistance.
- Candidates should possess Networking skills, including understanding of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and basic configuration.
- Candidates should possess awareness of Network Security principles, such as safe configuration practices and basic security protocols.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple tasks, and respond to time-sensitive requests.
- Relevant certification or coursework (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an IT support or service desk environment is preferred but not mandatory.
