HVAC Engineer Mechanical middle level

Revit MEP and Blue beam mandatory

Handle the mechanical scope of US building projects — from load calculations and system selection through coordinated construction documents and construction administration. Design air-side and water-side systems that are code-compliant and constructable, produce deliverables in Revit, and support the US team through plan check and construction. The role demands engineering judgement, not just software operation: should understand why a system works, not only how to model it.

Design &

- Engineering
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations in HAP or Trane Trace and translate results into system selections and equipment schedules (AHUs, RTUs, fan coils, VRF, chillers, boilers,

pumps, and exhaust / ventilation systems) Design and size ductwork and hydronic piping to SMACNA and ASHRAE standards, producing coordinated layouts that are constructable — not just code-minimal.
- Design ventilation systems per ASHRAE 62.1 and verify thermal comfort criteria per ASHRAE 55.
- Prepare energy code compliance documentation (ASHRAE 90.1 / IECC
- ComCheck) and state-

specific compliance where required (e.g., Title 24 / EnergyPro for California projects).
- Develop controls sequences of operation and points lists for standard systems in coordination with the US team

Construction Documents &
- BIM
- Produce complete, code-compliant construction document sets in Revit to office standards across SD, DD, CD, and CA phases.
- Coordinate with the electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines; resolve clashes and integration issues before drawings are issued,

using Navisworks and BIM coordination sessions.
- Draft project-specific specification sections for mechanical systems (MasterFormat Division 23).

Construction Administration

- Own the RFI workflow on your projects — receive, interpret, respond, log, and track to closure,

with responses that need minimal revision from the US team.
- Prepare plan check / AHJ comment responses and resolution drawings for US jurisdiction submissions.
- Review vendor submittals, evaluate substitution requests, and coordinate with equipment vendors and manufacturer representatives.
- Assist with change order documentation, participate in punch list development, and review designs for constructability before issue.

QA and QC

Standard and tools

People management

Tool Expected proficiency

Revit (MEP) Mid: advanced — models mechanical systems from scratch, coordinated sheets, schedules.

Senior: expert — sets model standards, resolves model health issues, reviews others’ work.

AutoCAD Proficient to expert — quick, accurate 2D production to office standards.

HAP / Trane Trace Mid: advanced — load calculations, equipment sizing, load reports.

Senior: expert — the discipline’s calculation authority.

ComCheck /

EnergyPro

Working proficiency — energy code compliance for IECC / ASHRAE 90.1

states

- EnergyPro for California work is a plus.

IESVE / eQuest Senior level: proficiency in energy model review and interpretation is a plus.

Navisworks Familiar — clash detection and BIM coordination sessions.

Senior: leads

India-side coordination.

Excel / Bluebeam Strong — calculation workbooks, drawing markups and review sets
