MKA Engineers & Exporters Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive, organised, and people-focused HR Manager to independently manage and strengthen the Human Resources function at our Ratnagiri location.
This is a hands-on HR leadership opportunity for a professional who can manage recruitment, employee lifecycle processes, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations, performance-management support, and workforce development in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
The selected candidate will work closely with management, operations, and departmental heads to build a disciplined, compliant, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead manpower planning and end-to-end recruitment for engineering, production, quality, maintenance, stores, purchase, supply chain, finance, sales, administration, and support functions.
- Source and recruit staff, engineers, supervisors, technicians, operators, shop-floor personnel, and support employees through job portals, consultants, references, local hiring channels, and recruitment drives.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including selection, offer letters, joining formalities, onboarding, induction, probation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, resignations, exit interviews, and full-and-final settlement coordination.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, SOPs, employee guidelines, attendance rules, leave policies, disciplinary procedures, and HR documentation.
- Maintain employee files, joining documents, attendance records, leave records, payroll inputs, appointment letters, appraisal records, and other HR registers.
- Coordinate attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, reimbursements, deductions, salary revisions, and monthly payroll inputs with the payroll/accounts team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, minimum wages, wage records, employee registers,
statutory returns, and relevant contract-labour compliance.
- Support POSH policy implementation, awareness programmes, documentation, Internal Committee coordination, and periodic compliance requirements.
- Handle employee grievances, counselling, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and employee-relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support implementation of KRAs/KPIs, performance-appraisal cycles, increment recommendations, promotion processes, performance reviews, and performance-improvement plans.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, recognition, employee welfare, internal communication, training, and workplace-culture initiatives.
- Prepare HR MIS and management reports on manpower, recruitment, attendance, absenteeism, attrition, overtime, training, employee costs, performance, and compliance status.
- Coordinate with plant and operations leaders to address manpower shortages, workforce discipline, shift requirements, productivity concerns, and employee-development needs.
- Support internal, ISO, customer, social-compliance, and statutory audits by ensuring complete and audit-ready HR documentation.
- Coordinate HR and administrative support activities to ensure timely and effective service delivery to employees and business departments.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, Labour Welfare, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MSW, MHRM, or an equivalent qualification will be preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and statutory compliance.
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, industrial operations, plant HR, logistics, construction,
or other labour-intensive organisations will be strongly preferred.
- Practical exposure to handling staff, engineers, supervisors, technicians, operators, shop-floor employees, and/or contract labour will be an advantage.
- Sound working knowledge of PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, minimum wages, payroll processes, employee records, statutory documentation, and labour-law compliance.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, attendance and leave management, employee engagement, grievance handling, and performance-management support.
- Good proficiency in HRMS/HRIS, attendance systems, payroll software, and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with Zoho People, Zoho Payroll, Zoho Books, Tally Prime, ERP systems, or related business applications will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of ownership, integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial workplace.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi will be preferred.
