Role Description This remote Human Resources Intern role is an internship opportunity designed to support the HR function at Laneway while providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced consulting environment. The intern will assist with maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment activities such as posting job openings and screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
Daily tasks may include helping draft and update HR policies, supporting onboarding processes, and responding to routine employee queries related to benefits and procedures. The intern will also contribute to HR documentation, data entry, and reporting,
while collaborating with team members across business consulting, technology, and media services. This role offers exposure to modern HR practices, people operations, and organizational culture-building in a growing, remote-first company.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with an interest in people operations and organizational development.
- Candidates should possess skills related to HR Policies and Employee Benefits, including basic understanding of compliance, workplace guidelines, and rewards structures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Personnel Management, such as maintaining employee data, supporting onboarding, and assisting with performance and engagement initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, collaboration platforms) and comfort working in a remote setting.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in consulting, start-ups, or technology-driven businesses is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams across multiple functions.
