About The Role The HR Operations Consultant - Workday Reporting is a critical role within our HR team, responsible for developing and maintaining custom reports and analytics in Workday. The successful candidate will work closely with HR and business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, translating these into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong technical background in Workday reporting tools, combined with excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for data accuracy and integrity.
The role involves managing report libraries, ensuring data consistency, and providing ongoing support and training to end users. The HR Operations Consultant will also be responsible for documenting reporting processes, maintaining data dictionaries, and staying updated with new Workday features to optimize reporting efficiency.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in HR reporting or analytics, with a solid focus on Workday reporting tools. Hands-on experience with advanced, matrix, and composite reports, as well as calculated fields, is essential. Workday certifications are highly desirable and will be considered a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for candidates holding additional certifications related to Workday or HR analytics.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present insights clearly to stakeholders.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, is required to support data analysis and reporting tasks. The candidate should be adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning to keep pace with evolving Workday functionalities and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR and business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate business processes into meaningful insights.
- Create and maintain custom reports and analytics using Workday Report Writer, including advanced, matrix, and composite reports, as well as calculated fields.
- Analyze report data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic HR initiatives.
- Prioritize reporting requests, manage workload effectively, and ensure timely delivery of reports aligned with stakeholder expectations.
- Share data insights responsibly, adhering to privacy, security, and data governance standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to end users on report generation, interpretation, and responsible data usage.
- Document reporting logic,
definitions, and processes to ensure clarity and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Maintain and update reporting documentation, inventories, and data dictionaries in accordance with governance standards.
- Stay current with new Workday reporting features and best practices, implementing enhancements where applicable.
- Periodically review existing reports and calculated fields to identify opportunities for improvement, consolidation, or retirement.
- Support ongoing data quality initiatives, ensuring reporting consistency and accuracy across platforms.
- Maintain ownership of report definitions and ensure they remain accurate and aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in reporting standards and governance processes.
- Support reporting requirements across other HR systems such as iCIMS and Leena AI, including ad hoc and recurring reports.
- Assess existing workflows and recommend improvements to optimize reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
