HOUSEKEEPING STAFF - i'Deli Cafe

Keep Our Space Clean, Fresh & Welcoming

We are opening a new i'Deli Cafe outlet in Kakkanad, Kochi, and are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Staff member to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the outlet.

Cleaning & Hygiene

- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, dining area, kitchen support areas, washrooms, storage areas, and staff areas.
- Clean floors, tables, chairs, windows, doors, counters, and other surfaces.
- Ensure guest areas remain clean and presentable throughout operating hours.
- Clean and sanitise washrooms regularly.
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.

Guest Area Maintenance
- Regularly check dining and common areas for cleanliness.
- Clear and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Ensure tables and surrounding areas are clean and ready for guests.
- Respond quickly to spills, breakages, or other cleaning requirements.
- Maintain a neat and welcoming environment for guests.

Kitchen & Support Areas
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of designated kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Clean floors, walls, drains, and other assigned areas.
- Follow hygiene procedures when handling cleaning materials.
- Support kitchen staff with general cleaning duties when required.

Waste Management
- Collect and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness around waste collection areas.
- Ensure waste bins are cleaned and properly maintained.
- Follow appropriate segregation and disposal practices.

Cleaning Supplies
- Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and correctly.
- Monitor cleaning material requirements and inform the supervisor when supplies are low.
- Store cleaning products safely in designated areas.
- Avoid misuse or unnecessary wastage of cleaning materials.

Hygiene & Safety
- Follow all company hygiene,



sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Use appropriate protective equipment when required.
- Immediately report spills, damaged equipment, pest issues, leaks, or safety hazards.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.

Opening & Closing Support
- Assist with pre-opening cleaning and preparation of the outlet.
- Ensure guest and operational areas are ready before service begins.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties during closing.
- Ensure the outlet is left clean, organised, and ready for the next operating day.

Teamwork & Support
- Work closely with service, kitchen, and management teams.
- Assist colleagues with cleaning requirements during busy periods.
- Follow instructions from the Housekeeping Supervisor, Floor Supervisor, or Restaurant Manager.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.

New Outlet Opening
- Support the cleaning and preparation of the new Kakkanad outlet before opening.
- Assist with deep cleaning and final presentation of all areas.
- Help establish daily cleaning routines and hygiene standards from day one.
- Ensure the outlet maintains a clean and welcoming environment from its first day of operation.

Experience

- 1–2 years of housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or similar experience preferred.
- Freshers with the right attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.

Education

- Basic educational qualification preferred.
- Relevant housekeeping or cleaning experience will also be considered.
