Riyaz Daily is an online platform dedicated to teaching Hindustani Classical Music to students in India and around the world.

We are looking for skilled, patient, and passionate Hindustani Classical Vocal Tutors to join our team and conduct online one-to-one vocal classes.

Role: Hindustani Classical Vocal Tutor

As a Vocal Tutor at Riyaz Daily, you will teach students individually based on their age, current level, learning pace, and musical goals. Our students include young children, adults, senior learners, and international students.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct online 1-to-1 Hindustani Classical Vocal classes
- Teach students from beginner to advanced levels
- Teach Swar Sadhana, Alankars, Raag, Taal, Bandish, Aalap, Taan and other aspects of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music
- Teach semi-classical vocal forms such as Bhajan, Thumri, Dadra, Kajri and other suitable forms
- Help students improve Sur, Taal, voice control, voice culture and overall vocal technique
- Plan lessons according to each student's age, ability, level and learning pace
- Assign appropriate practice/homework and provide guidance for regular Riyaz
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain punctuality and consistency for scheduled classes
- Create a patient, encouraging and professional learning workplace

Eligibility / Required Qualification

Candidates must have at least one of the following qualifications in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music:

- Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) from a UGC-recognised university, OR
- Master of Performing Arts (MPA) from a UGC-recognised university, OR




- Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal

Candidates holding both BPA and MPA are also welcome to apply.

Teaching & Communication Requirements

- Strong practical and theoretical foundation in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music
- Good command of semi-classical vocal forms
- Ability to teach students ranging from approximately 5 years to 80+ years of age
- Must have a high level of patience, especially while teaching young children, beginners and senior learners
- Ability to adapt the teaching approach according to each student's age, learning pace, ability and goals
- Excellent spoken English communication skills are mandatory
- Must be confident communicating and teaching entirely in English when required
- Ability to communicate effectively with international students
- Ability to explain musical concepts clearly, patiently and practically
- Professional, friendly and encouraging approach towards students
- Punctual, responsible and committed to scheduled classes

Technical Requirements

As this is a completely online teaching position, candidates must have:

- A laptop or computer suitable for conducting online classes.
- A stable and high-speed internet connection.




- A Bluetooth speaker for Tabla/Tanpura App or Radel Shrutibox with Tabla And Tanpura during classes.
- Access to a reliable Tabla and Tanpura application/software for accompaniment and Riyaz
- A functional microphone and camera with clear audio/video quality.
- A quiet and suitable environment for conducting professional online classes.
- Basic proficiency with online video conferencing and digital teaching tools.

Experience

Previous teaching experience in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music is preferred. Experience teaching children, adults, senior learners, or international students through online one-to-one classes will be an advantage.
