Heavy Vehicle Driver

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced and responsible Heavy Vehicle Drivers to safely operate heavy commercial vehicles and ensure timely transportation of goods/materials. The ideal candidate should have a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV/HGV) driving licence, good driving skills, and knowledge of road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Transport goods, materials, or equipment to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain required trip, delivery, fuel, and vehicle records.
- Handle transportation documents and delivery challans as required.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, delays, or other issues to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements




- Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV/HGV) Driving Licence.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of local and highway routes.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Physically fit and willing to work flexible schedule when required.
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to road safety.

Preferred Skills
- Experience driving trucks, trailers, tankers, or other heavy commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of GPS/navigation systems.
- Ability to handle long-distance trips.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
