Head – Placement Operations 1.
Position Details Position: Head – Placement Operations Department: Training & Placement Cell Reporting To: Head – Training & Placement Location: University Campus Employment Type: Full time 2.
Position Purpose The
Head – Placement Operations will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the University’s complete campus recruitment process. The incumbent will ensure a structured, transparent, student-centric and employer-friendly placement process from student registration and eligibility verification through recruitment, offer management, joining confirmation and final placement reporting. 3.
Key Responsibilities A.
Placement
Planning - Develop the annual University Placement Plan.
- Prepare school-wise and programme-wise placement calendars.
- Establish placement targets in consultation with the Director T&P; and Deans.
- Develop recruitment schedules based on academic calendars.
- Coordinate recruitment drives across Schools. B.
Student
Registration & Eligibility - Establish the annual student placement registration process.
- Maintain an updated database of placement-seeking students.
- Verify eligibility according to company requirements.
- Maintain student profiles, resumes and academic records.
- Ensure accuracy of student placement data.
- Develop placement-readiness categories based on student performance. C.
Recruitment Process Management
Coordinate the complete recruitment lifecycle: Company Requirement → JD → Eligibility → Student Registration → Pre-Placement Talk → Assessment → GD/Case Study → Interview → Selection → Offer → Joining - Coordinate with recruiters for recruitment schedules.
- Arrange infrastructure and interview facilities.
- Coordinate online and offline assessments.
- Ensure smooth execution of interviews.
- Coordinate with faculty and administrative teams.
- Resolve operational issues during recruitment. D.
Placement
Calendar - Develop a centralised placement calendar.
- Avoid conflicts between academic schedules and recruitment drives.
- Ensure timely communication to students.
- Coordinate recruitment schedules across multiple Schools. E.
Offer
Management - Maintain offer records.
- Verify offers received from recruiters.
- Track accepted and declined offers.
- Monitor joining dates.
- Track students who join the organisation.
- Maintain records of PPOs and final placements. F.
Student
Communication - Establish standard communication protocols.
- Communicate placement opportunities to eligible students.
- Ensure students understand:
- eligibility
- selection process
- job profile
- compensation
- location
- joining requirements
- Maintain transparency and consistency in placement communication. G.
Placement
Policy - Implement the University’s placement policy.
- Develop SOPs for:
- registration
- eligibility
- multiple offers
- withdrawal
- offer acceptance
- attendance
- disciplinary matters
- Recommend policy improvements to the Director T&P.; H. School-Level Coordination - Work with Faculty Placement Coordinators.
- Conduct regular School-wise placement reviews.
- Identify students requiring additional support.
- Monitor placement progress programme-wise. I.

- School-wise placement performance 6. Team Management - Lead Placement Managers, Officers and Executives.
- Allocate recruiter and programme responsibilities.
- Set monthly and annual targets.
- Conduct weekly recruitment reviews.
- Monitor team productivity.
- Establish recruitment SOPs. 7.

- Ability to work under high-pressure recruitment timelines 8. Qualification & Experience - Postgraduate degree in Management, HR, Business Administration or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in placement, recruitment, HR operations, campus hiring or higher education.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale recruitment processes preferred. 9.
Reporting Reports to: Head – Training & Placement Works closely with: Corporate Relations, Training & Career Development, Internship, Deans, HoDs, Faculty Placement Coordinators and students.
