To lead Mechanical Engineering function and establish a world-class engineering organization capable of developing rugged, reliable and analytically engineered military products.

The role is responsible for transforming customer requirements into robust mechanical systems using first-principles engineering, analytical calculations, simulation, experimentation and engineering judgement.

The Head Mechanical Engineering is the Company's highest technical authority for mechanical engineering and is responsible for engineering integrity throughout the product lifecycle.

The role focuses on engineering excellence and product performance, while Product Engineering is responsible for engineering execution, documentation, CAD standards, digital engineering systems and product release.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Engineering Leadership: Provide technical leadership for development
2. Engineering Philosophy:



Lead the transition from experience-based design towards mathematically validated engineering. Establish an engineering culture where major design decisions are supported by: Engineering calculations, Analytical reasoning, Simulation, Prototype testing, Qualification testing, Failure analysis, rather than historical practice alone.
3. Product Architecture: Lead development of mechanical architectures for current and future product families.
4. Mechanical Engineering: Provide technical leadership in: Structural design, Mechanism design, Precision engineering, Load-bearing structures, Rotating systems
5. Engineering Analysis Own engineering methodology for: Strength calculations, Deflection calculations, Buckling, Fatigue. Develop standardized engineering calculation procedures.
6. Simulation & Validation: Establish simulation-led product development.
