Role: Subject Matter Expert – Hardware Design
Location: Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad
Domain : Factory Automation & Robotics OR Building Automation OR Energy Management OR Medical Electronics)

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with vertical segment leaders and Solutions Architects to support solution development aligned with strategy and focus applications
- Serve as the go-to expert for specific sub-solutions (Motor Control, Power Supply, Machine Vision, Security etc) and/or technologies (eg power electronics, embedded systems, connectivity, sensors, signal processing, AI at the edge)
- Create and/or collaborate with solution architects to develop and deliver technical collateral including application briefs, solution guides, block diagrams, whitepapers, presentations, and training materials to ensure technical accuracy and business relevance.
- Evaluate supplier technologies, reference designs, and product roadmaps to identify optimal solutions for target applications.
- Review and validate solution architectures, component selections, and technical assumptions to ensure feasibility, performance, and alignment with application requirements and reference implementations to showcase technology capabilities and accelerate adoption.
- Analyze customer design challenges, application requirements, and system constraints to support solution development and architecture recommendations.
- Develop technical training, workshops, webinars, and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Participate in continuous technical learning by attending technical and sales training in efforts to stay abreast of current technology.
- Maintain and curate technical content, solution assets, and knowledge repositories within FAST (internal tool for Arrow) and other designated platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple technical initiatives and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronics and communication related engineering field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Hardware design with Strong domain/vertical application expertise in either one or more segments (Automotive & Transportation, Aerospace & Defense, Factory Automation & Robotics, Building Automation, Energy Management, Medical Electronics).
- Ability to decompose complex systems into functional blocks and translate application requirements into system-level architectures and solution frameworks
- Experience developing system architectures, hardware block diagrams, and reference solutions for complex electronic systems.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor and electronic component selection, including processors, connectivity, power management, sensors, memory, and analog devices.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs involving performance, cost, power consumption, reliability, safety,
and manufacturing considerations.
- Proficiency in general Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Good understanding of market trends and the operational roles of field sales and engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional, global teams.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills, able to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, technical research, content development, and workflow automation.
- Passion for innovation and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering documentation.
