Role Description:

The GST Executive / GST Specialist role at ICC is a part-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role is responsible for managing day-to-day GST compliance activities, including preparing and filing GST returns, reconciling GST data with accounting records, monitoring input tax credit, and ensuring compliance with applicable GST regulations.

The GST Executive will review and validate vendor and customer invoices, perform ITC reconciliations, and monitor e-invoicing and e-way bill requirements. The role will also support GST assessments, notices, audits, and statutory inspections by maintaining accurate tax records and providing required documentation.

The position involves coordinating with finance and accounts teams, vendors, customers, and external tax consultants to resolve GST-related queries and discrepancies. The GST Executive will also assist in improving tax compliance processes, maintaining organized GST documentation, and preparing relevant reports and information for management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance and taxation .
- Strong knowledge of Indian GST laws, rules, and compliance procedures,



including GST returns, GST assessments, input tax credit (ITC), and reconciliation .
- Practical experience with e-invoicing and e-way bills .
- Strong ability to reconcile GST data with accounting records and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Proficiency in accounting and taxation software such as Tally or similar ERP systems , along with robust MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to review and validate invoices, verify GST details, maintain accurate tax records, and prepare supporting documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage GST compliance activities and statutory deadlines independently and efficiently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal finance and accounts teams, vendors, customers, and external tax advisors.
- Experience handling GST notices, assessments, audits, or departmental queries will be an advantage.
- Prior GST experience in a trading, distribution, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional taxation or GST certification will be an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and manage part-time working hours reliably and efficiently.

- ITC reconciliations are performed regularly, with discrepancies identified and resolved promptly.
- E-invoicing and e-way bill processes are managed accurately.

- GST records and documentation remain complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Potential GST compliance issues are identified proactively and addressed in a timely manner.
