Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced General Manager Finance to lead the finance and financial operations function, with a strong focus on planning, budgeting, treasury, fund management, accounting controls, SOP implementation, and stakeholder relationships.

The role will be responsible for ensuring financial discipline, optimum capital allocation, robust financial controls, timely payments and collections, and effective management of banking and investor relationships

KRAs

- Finance Operations & Planning
- Lead day-to-day finance operations and ensure timely, accurate and efficient execution
- Develop and drive annual and long-term financial plans aligned with business objectives
- Establish financial targets, monitoring mechanisms and performance dashboards.
- Budgeting & Finance Control
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Prepare operating budgets, cash-flow budgets and capex budgets.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide detailed variance analysis.

- Industry Benchmarking
- Establish relevant financial and operational benchmarks based on industry standards and best practices.
- Benchmark key parameters such as costs, margins, working capital, receivables, payables, inventory and finance costs.
- Identify gaps against industry benchmarks and recommend improvement initiatives.
- SOP & Internal Control
- Develop, review and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finance and related processes
- Ensure compliance with defined processes and identify control gaps.
- Periodically review SOPs to improve efficiency, transparency and accountability.
- Drive automation and process improvements across finance operations.
- Payments & Receipts/ Reconciliation
- Oversee the complete payment and receipts cycle.
- Monitor banking transactions, fund transfers and treasury operations.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, customer accounts, vendor accounts, inter-company accounts and other ledgers.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.





- Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with banks and financial institutions
- Coordinate with all auditors, including statutory, internal and cost auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits and closure of observations.
- Liaise with banking partners, investment bankers and merchant bankers on credit facilities, fund-raising and related transactions.
- Investor Relations & Fund Management
- Manage the end-to-end funding and fundraising process, including preparation of documentation, due diligence support and coordination with investors, lenders and financial institutions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, financial reports and periodic updates for investors, the board and other key stakeholders.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective investors, private equity/venture capital firms and analysts.
- Ensure timely and accurate investor reporting, and compliance with funding covenants and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate preparation of CMA data and manage engagements with credit rating agencies for timely ratings, reviews and renewals.
- Multi-Plant / Multi-Location Coordination
- Coordinate finance operations, reporting and controls across multiple plants/locations, ensuring consistency in processes and standards.
- Act as a single point of contact for plant-level finance teams, resolving cross-location issues and ensuring alignment with corporate finance policies.
- Team & Organization Management
- Structure and organize the finance team/department in line with business requirements.
- Set KRAs/KPIs for team members and departments, and monitor performance against them.
- Build team capability through mentoring, training and periodic performance reviews.

Qualification & Experience

- ICWA is mandatory
- Should have 12-15 years of experience in managing finance operations, budgeting, cash flow, banking and fund management.
- Experience in working with senior management, banks, investors and external stakeholders.
- Exposure to developing and implementing SOPs and financial control systems.
- Strong communications skills
