Role Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with hands-on experience in GIS-based application development. The candidate should have strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with good knowledge of frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, and GIS technologies.

The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications across both front-end and back-end, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient solutions. Daily responsibilities include implementing user interfaces, building and optimising server-side logic, integrating APIs and data sources, and collaborating with product and domain experts to translate defence requirements into technical specifications. The role also involves reviewing code, troubleshooting issues, improving performance, and contributing to architecture and technology choices that support long-term product evolution.





The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and must be willing to work on-site at international project locations outside India.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and deploy full-stack web applications.
- Develop frontend applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Develop backend services and REST APIs using Java.
- Develop and integrate GIS / geospatial applications and map services.
- Work with map layers, spatial data, markers, polygons, geo-fencing, coordinates, and location-based information.
- Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
- Work with relational and spatial databases such as PostgreSQL / PostGIS.
- Debug, test, optimise, deploy, and maintain applications.
- Use Docker for application deployment and container management.
- Understand and work with existing C++ modules/components when required.
- Support system integration, field deployment, testing, and customer-site activities.
- Candidates should possess robust back-end web development and software development skills, with experience in building secure, scalable server-side applications.
- Candidates should possess front-end development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) skills for creating responsive, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces.
- Candidates should possess full-stack development skills,



with the ability to work across the application stack and integrate front-end and back-end components effectively.
- Relevant experience with modern web frameworks, relational and/or NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and version control (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving abilities, clean coding practices, and familiarity with testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Hands-on experience in GIS / Geospatial application development.
- Experience with GIS technologies such as OpenLayers, Leaflet, Cesium, Mapbox, ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, or similar.
- Understanding of Latitude/Longitude, coordinate systems, map projections, GeoJSON, WMS/WFS/WMTS, vector and raster data.
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and databases.
- Intermediate knowledge of C++.
- Intermediate knowledge of Docker.
- Knowledge of Git and Linux environments is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional software development experience.
- Previous experience in GIS-based software applications is mandatory.

Note The candidate must be willing to travel, stay, and work at project/customer locations outside India for project implementation, integration, testing, training, and technical support.

Willingness to work outside India is mandatory for this position, along with having a valid passport.
