Role Description The Freelance Online Tutor will provide one-on-one virtual instruction to learners in assigned subject areas, following customized curricula and lesson plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, delivering live online sessions, assigning and reviewing practice work, and providing constructive feedback to support learner progress.

The tutor will track performance, adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs, and maintain clear communication with learners and, where applicable, their guardians. This is a part-time, remote role,



offering flexible scheduling within agreed time slots while maintaining professional reliability and consistent session quality.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more academic disciplines (e.g., math, science, languages, test preparation) and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Effective online teaching and tutoring skills, including lesson planning, individualized instruction, and use of digital tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage learners of different ages and backgrounds in a supportive, inclusive manner.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple learners, sessions, and progress tracking efficiently.
- Comfort with remote work, including reliable internet access, basic technical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with video conferencing and learning management systems.
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience in an online or classroom setting is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in education or a relevant subject area is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
