The Role /n We are looking for a commercially oriented finance leader who can go beyond traditional reporting and work closely with the leadership team to build financial discipline and support business growth. /n The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B businesses, marketplaces or high-growth startups , with strong exposure to unit economics, FP&A;, cash management and working capital. /n /n Key Responsibilities /n 1. Unit Economics & Marketplace Metrics /n • Build and own transaction-level / placement-level contribution margin models. /n • Track and analyse CAC per worker, cost per placement, take rate, contribution margin and /n payback period . /n • Develop cohort and retention economics. /n • Translate unit economics into actionable decisions around pricing, growth and burn . /n /n 2. FP&A; & Cash Management /n • Own the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and rolling forecasts. /n • Lead monthly financial and variance reviews with business and leadership teams. /n • Build and maintain 13-week cash-flow forecasts . /n • Establish and monitor burn, spend and runway guardrails. /n • Identify financial risks early and translate them into clear business actions. /n /n 3.
Working
Capital & Receivables /n • Manage working capital in a business with large enterprise customers. /n • Own receivables forecasting and collections discipline. /n • Track and manage 60–90+ day DSO cycles . /n • Build escalation mechanisms for delayed collections. /n • Assess the cash-flow impact of commercial decisions and support credit-risk management. /n /n 4.
Business
Partnership /n • Partner closely with founders and business leaders on financial and strategic decisions.
/n 1• Bring a strong financial lens to growth investments, pricing, cost structures and resource /n allocation. /n • Build simple, decision-oriented financial dashboards and insights. /n • Help create a culture of financial discipline across the organisation. /n /n What We’re Looking For /n • 7–10 years of relevant finance experience , with meaningful experience in a high-growth /n environment. /n • Prior experience in B2B, marketplace or startup businesses . /n • Strong hands-on experience across FP&A;, business finance and cash management . /n • Proven understanding of marketplace / transaction-level unit economics . /n • Experience managing enterprise receivables and working-capital cycles. /n • Strong analytical and commercial thinking, with the ability to connect financial metrics to /n business outcomes. /n • Comfortable working with ambiguity and operating hands-on in a lean startup environment. /n • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence business leaders through data and /n insights. /n • Willingness to work 2–3 days a week from Vahan's Bengaluru office . /n /n What Success Looks Like /n In this role, success means: /n • Clear visibility into unit economics and contribution margins . /n • Stronger forecasting and cash-flow predictability. /n • Better control over burn, spend and runway . /n • Improved receivables discipline and working-capital management. /n • Finance becoming a robust business partner in pricing, growth and investment decisions . /n /n If you enjoy building financial discipline in a fast-growing business and want to work closely with leadership rather than operate as a traditional reporting CFO, we'd love to hear from you.
