Role Overview

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, service support, and sales support activities for digital finishing machines within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, commission, and demonstrate digital finishing machines at customer locations.

- Provide preventive and breakdown maintenance support to customers.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.

- Attend customer service calls and ensure timely resolution of technical problems.

- Train customers and operators on machine operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

- Conduct machine inspections and recommend necessary service or replacement of components.

- Coordinate with the internal service, sales,



and technical teams for effective customer support.

- Provide technical support to the sales team during customer visits, product demonstrations, and machine evaluations.

- Support installation and commissioning of machines at new customer sites.

- Maintain service reports, installation reports, and customer visit records.

- Travel extensively within the assigned territory as required.

Requirements

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

- Basic understanding of sensors, motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems.

- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Valuable communication and customer-handling skills.

- Willingness to travel extensively for customer service and installation activities.

- Ability to work independently at customer locations.

Preferred Profile

- 2–5 years of experience in field service, machine installation, commissioning, or maintenance.

- Experience with industrial machinery, printing/finishing equipment, automation machinery, or similar capital equipment will be an advantage.

- Candidates with hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting are preferred.
