Role Description The Fiber Engineer role is a full time hybrid position based in Kochi, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

The Fiber

Engineer will plan, design, and implement fiber-optic networks, including route planning, splicing plans, and documentation for outside plant infrastructure.

Responsibilities include coordinating site surveys, supervising fiber installation and testing, resolving network issues, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety guidelines. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors, tracking project progress, preparing reports,



and supporting ongoing maintenance activities to ensure stable network performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Fibre and Optical Fiber technologies, including installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess skills in Outside Plant design and deployment, covering field surveys, route planning, and infrastructure documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Design, including planning fiber routes, capacity, redundancy, and integrating with existing telecom networks.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, such as scheduling, resource coordination, vendor management, and progress reporting.
- Relevant experience in telecom or fiber-optic projects, preferably in field engineering or network implementation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and industry standards, with strong attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work safely on-site and independently when remote.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field is preferred.
