ENGINEERING ESTIMATORJob Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Engineering Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and material/labour calculations for engineering projects. The candidate will work closely with the engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and commercially viable estimates.

Key Responsibilities

- Review engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and other project requirements.
- Prepare quotations and commercial proposals based on project specifications.
- Obtain and evaluate material and service quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyse project requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and verify material requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and project teams for accurate estimation.
- Compare actual project costs with estimated costs and identify variations.
- Maintain estimation records, costing sheets, and quotation databases.
- Ensure estimates are prepared within project deadlines.
- Support tender preparation, bid submissions, and commercial negotiations when required.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil,



Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in engineering estimation or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and quantity take-offs.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and estimation/costing tools.
- Ability to analyse technical and commercial requirements.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in preparing project quotations and tenders.
- Knowledge of material pricing and supplier evaluation.
- Understanding of engineering materials, fabrication, machinery, or industrial projects.
- Experience with ERP/CRM or project management software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
