Role Description The Engineering Executive at Marriott Hotels in Kochi is responsible for supporting the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all hotel engineering systems and facilities. This full-time, on-site role includes monitoring and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as guest room and public area equipment.

Executive assists in conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to minimize downtime and ensure a comfortable, safe setting for guests and associates. The role involves coordinating with other departments to address maintenance requests, maintaining accurate logs and records,



and supporting regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives.

Executive also helps supervise external contractors as needed and contributes to continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications

- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot core building systems, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Skills in routine inspections, preventive maintenance planning, and basic repair work for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Competence in using maintenance tools, equipment, and computer-based facility management or work-order systems.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize urgent issues, and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional hotel teams and external vendors or contractors.
- Awareness of hotel safety standards, local building codes, and environmental or energy-efficiency practices.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field) and prior experience in hotel or building maintenance is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings, based on operational needs.
