Embedded Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with strong fundamentals in Embedded C, microcontrollers, firmware development, and embedded system programming. The candidate will be involved in developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining embedded software for medical equipment.

Experience

Experienced: 01 years of experience in Embedded Software/Firmware Development.

Freshers: B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Computer Science, or Mechatronics.

Candidates with an experience gap of up to 1 year may be considered.

Core Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of C / Embedded C.
- Good understanding of pointers, structures, bit manipulation, memory management, and data types.
- Knowledge of microcontroller architecture, registers, GPIO, timers, PWM, ADC, EEPROM, and watchdog.
- Understanding of **interrupts, ISR, polling, and real-time concepts.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-232/RS-485.
- Basic understanding of device drivers and hardware-software interfacing.
- Knowledge of RTOS concepts such as tasks, scheduling, mutex, semaphore, and queues is an added advantage.




- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand circuit schematics, datasheets, and microcontroller reference manuals.
- Knowledge of Git and embedded debugging tools** is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++.
- Develop and integrate peripheral and communication drivers.
- Work with microcontrollers and hardware interfaces.
- Debug and troubleshoot firmware and hardware-related issues.
- Perform software testing, validation, and bug fixing.
- Optimize code for memory usage, performance, and reliability.
- Work closely with Hardware, R&D;, Testing, and other engineering teams.
- Follow coding standards and maintain technical documentation.

Preferred

- Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M or similar microcontrollers.
- Academic or personal projects in Embedded Systems/Firmware Development.
- Knowledge of RTOS, Embedded Linux, Bootloader, or Firmware Upgrade is an added advantage.
