About the Company

We are seeking an experienced ELV (Extra Low Voltage) & Security Subject Matter Expert to lead the design, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of ELV, Building Management System (BMS), and physical security systems across mission-critical data centre facilities. The role carries end-to-end technical ownership of ELV/BMS scope — from concept design and basis-of-design (BOD) development through detailed engineering, procurement support, construction oversight, commissioning, and steady-state operations. The ideal candidate combines strong ELV systems architecture experience with deep BMS/EPMS integration knowledge, and is comfortable working across multi-discipline teams (electrical, mechanical, IT/networking, and security operations) in a hyperscale or colocation data centre environment.

About the Role

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end design review, specification, and validation of ELV systems including CCTV/VSS, Access Control (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Perimeter Intrusion Detection (PIDS), Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA), Fire Alarm integration, and structured cabling interfaces supporting ELV devices.
- Develop and review ELV Basis of Design (BOD), system architecture diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and device schedules for new-build and retrofit data centre projects.
- Define ELV network architecture including device VLANs, PoE budgets, head-end server/NVR sizing, and redundancy/failover design for critical security subsystems.
- Review and validate ELV shop drawings, cable schedules, containment layouts, and device placement (camera coverage, reader zoning, sensor coverage) against BOD and client standards.
- Coordinate ELV interfaces with fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and PA systems to ensure a unified life-safety and security response strategy.
- Lead technical review of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) architecture, including field-level controllers, network topology (BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA), and head-end SCADA/graphics.
- Validate BMS points lists, control narratives, and sequence of operations (SOO) for mechanical, electrical, and critical environment systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, UPS, switchgear, generators).
- Oversee integration of ELV and security subsystems with BMS/EPMS platforms for unified monitoring, alarm management,

and centralized event logging.
- Review BMS/EPMS submittals, integration test plans, and interoperability matrices between OEM controllers, gateways, and the central monitoring platform.
- Support DDC (Direct Digital Control) panel design reviews, controller sizing, and network segmentation strategy for OT/BMS networks, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity best practices for critical infrastructure.
- Participate in BMS graphics and dashboard review to ensure operational usability for NOC/BMS control room teams.
- Define and enforce security design standards aligned with data centre tiering requirements (Uptime Institute Tier III/IV or equivalent) and client-specific security frameworks.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies for perimeter security, biometric access, video analytics, and integrated Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platforms.
- Provide technical guidance during incident investigations related to physical security breaches, and support root-cause analysis for ELV/BMS system failures.
- Review vendor/contractor drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals (RFA/NCR) for ELV, BMS, and security scope across project stages.
- Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, and construction teams during design and fit-out phases to ensure security-by-design and controls-by-design principles.
- Conduct site audits, commissioning oversight, and factory/site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) for ELV, BMS, and security systems.
- Support RFP/RFQ development, technical vendor evaluation, and due diligence for ELV, BMS, and security system procurement.
- Maintain documentation including as-built drawings, points lists, SOPs, and system configuration records; ensure documentation is kept current through project handover.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with facility, BMS, and security operations teams for smooth handover into steady-state operations.

Qualifications

- 8–12 years of experience in ELV, BMS/EPMS, or security systems design, implementation,

or operations, with a significant portion in data centre or mission-critical facility environments.
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV (IP-based), access control systems, intrusion detection, PAVA, and PSIM platforms.
- Solid hands-on experience with BMS/EPMS platforms (e.g., Niagara/Tridium, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Johnson Controls Metasys) and open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA).
- Ability to read and validate control narratives, points lists, and sequence of operations for critical mechanical and electrical plant.
- Familiarity with data centre design standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier certification requirements) and life-safety/fire codes (NFPA, local equivalents).
- Experience working with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centre operators is highly preferred.
- Understanding of OT/IT network convergence as it pertains to ELV and BMS devices — VLAN segmentation, PoE, basic firewall/network security concepts for control system networks.
- Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings (AutoCAD or similar), ELV/BMS schematics, and control panel layouts.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, local regulatory/security codes as applicable).
- Strong vendor management, technical negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Excellent documentation and technical writing ability.

Required Skills

Solid analytical and problem-solving capability, particularly in diagnosing cross-system (ELV/BMS/security) integration issues. Ability to work cross-functionally with MEP, IT, and operations teams. Excellent communication skills for interfacing with vendors, clients, and leadership.

Preferred Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP, BICSI, Tridium Niagara certification, or equivalent BMS/controls certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience with global/multinational data centre programs.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, particularly in diagnosing cross-system (ELV/BMS/security) integration issues.

Ability to work cross-functionally with MEP, IT, and operations teams.

Excellent communication skills for interfacing with vendors, clients, and leadership
