Thinkbotic Technology Private Limited (Parent Company of Infosware Private Limited) is looking for a skilled Electronics Engineer with hands-on experience in KiCad PCB design to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving electronic circuits and PCB assemblies for industrial and embedded applications.

The role involves working on circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting. The candidate will collaborate with software, mechanical, and production teams to ensure reliable and manufacturable electronic products.

Role & responsibilities

- Design and develop electronic circuits for current and existing products.
- Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using KiCad.
- Perform component selection based on technical specifications, availability, cost, and reliability.
- Design 2-layer and 4-layer PCBs, including component placement, routing, and design rule checks.
- Prepare Gerber files, drill files, BOM, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Review PCB designs for signal integrity, power distribution, thermal considerations, and manufacturability.
- Develop and test prototypes, including PCB assembly and bring-up.
- Perform circuit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting using laboratory equipment.




- Identify and resolve hardware issues related to power supplies, communication interfaces, sensors, and embedded systems.
- Work with microcontrollers and interfaces such as UART, IC, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, and CAN, as required.
- Coordinate with firmware, mechanical, and production teams during product development.
- Support PCB revisions, design improvements, and cost optimization.
- Maintain proper documentation of circuit designs, test results, and engineering changes.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, quality, and manufacturing requirements.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Hands-on experience with KiCad EDA for schematic and PCB design.
- Understanding of PCB design rules, component footprints, libraries, and design constraints.
- Knowledge of power supply circuits, voltage regulators, DC-DC converters, and protection circuits.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded hardware development.
- Understanding of electronic communication protocols and interfacing.
- Ability to read and interpret datasheets, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Experience with PCB testing, debugging, and fault finding.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and electronic component sourcing.
- Familiarity with Altium Designer, Eagle, or other PCB design tools is an added advantage.
