Education & Background

•B.Tech or above; Electrical Engineering, Automation, Power Systems, High-Voltage Technology, or Chemical Electrical preferred.

•Combined fluorochemical-process and electrical background is a strong plus.

Experience

•5+ years; full-lifecycle fluorochemical electrical management and major system retrofits; has built electrical systems for 10,000-tonne-class sites. Experience in chemical electrical; solid on explosion-proof electrical, high-voltage distribution, and grounding





•Fluorochemicals/fine- chemicals background preferred; knows strong-corrosion, flammable, and high-temperature/high-pressure electrical risks plus explosion-proof gear, corrosion-resistant cables, and emergency shutdown.

Core Competencies

•Risk control: resolves R32-leak ignition, cable-insulation failure from corrosion, and grounding-system corrosion; sets explosion-proof inspection, cable anti-corrosion, ground-resistance monitoring, and emergency-shutdown procedures to prevent fire and explosion.

•Lifecycle management: supports selection through retirement; compares explosion-proof gear, performs root-cause analysis, and costs repairs to hit electrical failure rate ≤ X% and downtime ≤ Y hours/year.

•Data & optimization: uses FMEA and RCM to trend failure rates, repair cost, and OEE; proposes preventive-maintenance and spare-parts optimization.

•Cross-functional: works with electrical techs, process, safety, and equipment; balances electrical downtime against continuous production.

Skills

•Fluorochemical electrical: R32 compressor explosion-proof motors, HF-pump explosion-proof switches, HV switchgear, grounding systems; diagnoses insulation failure, damaged explosion-proof surfaces, and high ground resistance; specifies repairs.

•Systems: electrical automation (PLC, DCS electrical interfaces) and HV distribution; performs commissioning, troubleshooting, and program tuning; uses multimeters, insulation testers, ground-resistance testers, and gas detectors.

•Standards: chemical-plant electrical maintenance codes, fluorochemical safety norms, explosion-proof electrical selection; handles explosion-proof certification and HV-equipment annual inspections.

Nice to Have

•Registered Electrical Engineer (power supply/transmission), Senior Electrical Repair Engineer, or ISO 45001 internal auditor.

•Led major electrical retrofits (explosion-proof motor replacement, HV distribution upgrades) or emergency-system build-out (electrical-fire automatic suppression) at a fluorochemicals site.
