Role Description The Distillation Chemist will work on-site at the Mahesana facility in a full-time capacity, overseeing distillation operations and related chemical processing activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and operating distillation equipment, monitoring process parameters, optimizing yields and purity, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

The role involves conducting routine analyses of feedstock and finished products, maintaining accurate process documentation, and collaborating with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.

The Distillation

Chemist will also support process development, scale-up trials,



and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of distillation principles, separation processes, and chemical unit operations, with hands-on experience in operating industrial distillation equipment.
- Practical skills in analytical techniques (e.g., GC, HPLC, titration), sample preparation, and interpretation of test results to support quality control and process optimization.
- Solid understanding of chemical safety, occupational health, and environmental compliance, including safe handling of chemicals and adherence to plant safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications, and to maintain accurate logs and reports.
- Relevant educational background, such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, petroleum, solvents, or adhesives industries is an advantage.
- Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in office.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required and flexibility to respond to operational priorities at the Mahesana plant.
