THE ROLE

As Director – Placement & Training, you own the most visible outcome Gnixar promises its learners: a career. You'll architect and lead our placement engine across all verticals, build deep employer partnerships, design training frameworks that close the last-mile employability gap, and put systems in place that make placements a predictable, scalable outcome — not a hustle.

This is a founder-equivalent role. You'll have a seat at the leadership table, meaningful equity, and direct skin in the revenue you help generate.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Placements

- Drive 100%+ placement targets across all Gnixar schools
- Build and manage a 200+ active hiring partner network
- Own relationships with corporates, law firms, hospitals, startups
- Track and report placement metrics weekly to founding team
- Develop a Gnixar Naxig (job portal) strategy for learner–employer matching

Training & readiness

- Design soft skills, aptitude, and interview-readiness curriculum
- Run mock interviews, group discussions,



and assessment centres
- Partner with domain leads to align training with industry expectations
- Build alumni engagement programs to activate referral pipelines
- Set employability benchmarks per vertical and track cohort-wise

WHO YOU ARE

- 4+ years in placement, talent acquisition, or career services — ideally in edtech, university, or staffing
- Proven track record of building employer networks from the ground up
- Strong communicator who can sell to HR heads and motivate nervous learners equally well
- Data-driven — you track conversion at every stage and iterate quick
- Comfortable working in a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment
- Deep understanding of hiring patterns across tech, legal, management, and healthcare sectors is a bonus
- Based in or willing to relocate to Durgapur or Kolkata
