We are looking for a finance leader who can help build the financial foundation for our next stage of growth—someone who can operate hands-on, build scalable processes, and use technology and AI to make finance faster, more intelligent, and more effective.

The Opportunity

As Director of Finance , you will build and lead the finance function across Tachyon's India and US entities. You will own financial operations, FP&A;, controllership, compliance, cash management, reporting, and finance systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. You will establish the systems, controls, reporting, and financial insights required to support a high-growth technology-services business.

You will also help define and model the economics of an AI-native services organisation, including the impact of AI on utilisation, capacity, delivery costs, margins, pricing, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Controllership

- Own day-to-day financial operations across India and US entities.
- Lead accounting, month-end and year-end close, P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, AP, AR, and management reporting.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.
- Establish scalable accounting processes and operating controls.

FP&A; & Business Finance

- Build and lead the FP&A; function.
- Own annual budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis.
- Develop dashboards and financial models for business performance.
- Analyze unit economics, client profitability, utilization, headcount, capacity, and delivery margins.
- Partner with leadership on financial and operational decision-making.

Compliance, Governance & Risk





- Establish and maintain strong financial controls and governance.
- Ensure compliance with Indian regulations, including GST, TDS, Companies Act, and transfer pricing .
- Coordinate statutory, tax, and financial audits.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, legal advisors, and other professional partners.
- Support cross-border compliance and reporting requirements.

Treasury & Working Capital

- Manage working capital, cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
- Monitor collections, receivables, payables, and cash requirements.
- Develop strategies to improve cash conversion and financial efficiency.

AI-Native Finance Transformation

- Model the financial impact of AI-driven delivery and automation.
- Evaluate how AI affects utilization, capacity, staffing models, delivery costs, pricing, and margins.
- Identify opportunities to automate finance processes using AI and modern technology.
- Drive finance transformation through automation, analytics, and intelligent reporting.

Finance Systems & Technology

- Implement and manage modern ERP, FP&A;, BI, and financial reporting systems .
- Improve automation across accounting, close, reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Build real-time dashboards and management reporting capabilities.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve finance productivity and decision-making.

Leadership & Strategic Partnership

- Prepare monthly financial packages and executive dashboards for the CEO and leadership team.
- Support commercial pricing and financial evaluation of large enterprise contracts.
- Provide financial insights to support growth, investment, and strategic decisions.
- Partner with business and delivery leaders to improve profitability and operational efficiency.




- Help prepare the organization for future investment, fundraising, or other strategic growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- 8-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Experience in a Controllership, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, or Finance Leadership role.
- CA (India), CPA, or CMA strongly preferred.
- MBA in Finance is an added advantage.
- Strong hands-on experience in accounting, FP&A;, financial reporting, and controllership.
- Deep knowledge of Indian financial regulations, including GST, TDS, Companies Act, and transfer pricing .
- Experience working with US GAAP or US-based entities is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing India-US or multi-entity finance operations is a strong advantage.
- Robust understanding of technology-services business models and professional-services economics.
- Experience with ERP, FP&A;, BI, automation, or modern finance technology platforms.
