Role Description The Diamond Trainer will be responsible for delivering structured training programs on diamond grading, quality standards, product knowledge, and customer communication to store and corporate teams. Day-to-day activities include designing training materials, conducting classroom and on-floor training sessions, evaluating participant performance, and providing ongoing coaching to improve sales effectiveness and product expertise. The role involves collaborating with merchandising and sales leadership to align training content with current collections, certifications, and global standards, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of diamond trends and industry best practices.

in office role based in Mumbai, requiring regular presence at showrooms and training facilities. The position may also involve preparing reports on training outcomes and recommending improvements to training methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in diamonds and gemstones, including grading, quality assessment, and international certification standards (e.g., 4Cs, lab reports).
- Experience in training design and delivery, such as developing curricula, creating training materials, and facilitating interactive sessions for diverse learner groups.
- Solid retail jewelry or luxury sales background, with the ability to link product knowledge to customer experience, upselling, and cross-selling techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt training style to different audiences.
- Ability to use basic digital tools for training (e.g., presentations, learning materials, reporting) and comfort with data tracking for training effectiveness.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
- Relevant certification or formal education in gemology or jewelry (e.g., Gemology course, GIA or equivalent qualification) is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Commerce, Business, Gemology, or related discipline) preferred, along with prior experience in a training or instructional role.
