Role Description The Diamond Growth Scientist will manage and optimize lab-grown diamond production processes, focusing on crystal growth quality, yield, and consistency in an on-site role based in Mumbai. This full-time position involves monitoring growth systems, analyzing data from production runs, and adjusting parameters to improve clarity, color, and carat outcomes. The role includes collaborating with design, polishing, and quality teams to align growth outputs with market and client specifications, as well as documenting experiments and maintaining detailed production records.

Scientist will also support training for operational staff on best practices, contribute to continuous process improvement, and ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

- Jewelry Design and Fashion Jewelry skills to align diamond growth outputs with aesthetic, design, and product requirements.
- Polishing knowledge to understand downstream finishing needs and optimize growth for cut, symmetry, and surface quality.
- Customer Service and Training experience to communicate effectively with internal teams and B2B partners, and to support skill development on the production floor.
- Background in materials science, physics, chemistry, or a related field, preferably with experience in crystal growth, thin-film deposition, or semiconductor processes.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in using lab instruments, production monitoring tools, and basic statistical methods.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow standardized procedures, and commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Experience in the diamond, jewelry, or luxury goods industry is an advantage; familiarity with lab-grown diamond technologies is highly beneficial.
