Job Title: Head of Developer Relations (Developer Advocate + Community & Events)*

Locations: Tampa, FL, USA or Bengaluru, India (in office; travel required)

Reports to: Head of Engineering

Company: PranaTree

Role Overview

Prana Tree is looking for a high-energy, technically fluent Head of Developer Relations to be the public face of our brand in the developer ecosystem. You will host hackathons and tech events, represent Prana Tree at conferences, grow brand awareness among developers and within our own employee base, and own our social media and community presence across Discord, LinkedIn, GitHub, and related forums.

Your mission is to position Prana Tree as a pioneer in software development, AI, computer vision, and quantum optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Developer Advocacy & Technical Evangelism

- Represent Prana Tree at conferences, meetups, universities, and industry forums; deliver talks, panels, and workshops on AI, computer vision, and quantum optimization.
- Create and publish technical content: blogs, tutorials, code samples, demo videos, and “cookbook” recipes that show how to build with Prana Tree’s platforms and partners.
- Build proof-of-concept projects and sample apps that showcase real-world use cases for enterprise AI, visual intelligence, and optimisation.

Hackathons, Events & Conference Program

- Design, host, and run hackathons, bootcamps, builder workshops, and developer days end-to-end (concept, logistics, promotion, judging, follow-up).
- Own Prana Tree’s conference calendar: select events, secure speaking slots, manage booths, coordinate swag/demo kits, and capture content (video snippets, photos, quotes).
- Partner with universities, incubators, accelerators, and developer communities to co-host events and expand reach.

Community Building & Social Media

- Grow and manage Prana Tree’s developer community on Discord, GitHub Discussions, LinkedIn Groups,

and relevant forums; moderate, onboard, and run rituals (AMAs, office hours, challenges).
- Own social media presence: post product video snippets, demo clips, event highlights, and thought-leadership posts on LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
- Engage authentically in developer groups, answer questions, share code, and surface success stories to build trust and credibility.

Internal Brand & Employee Advocacy

- Increase brand awareness within Prana Tree’s employee pool via internal tech talks, demo days, “build hours,” and recognition programs for employee contributors.
- Equip sales, delivery, and recruiting teams with developer-facing collateral: one-pagers, demo videos, case studies, and talk tracks.

Feedback Loop & Product Influence

- Synthesize developer feedback from events, community channels, and social into structured reports for product and engineering (friction points, feature requests, docs gaps).
- Collaborate with product to improve onboarding, docs, SDKs, and sample code; track time-to-first-success and activation metrics.

Must-Have Qualifications

- 4–8 years in Developer Relations / Developer Advocacy / Technical Evangelism or equivalent community/content roles in B2B software, AI/ML, or cloud.
- Strong technical foundation in software development with hands-on experience in Python and familiarity with AI/ML, computer vision, or optimization workflows.
- Proven track record hosting hackathons, meetups, or developer events and speaking at conferences.

- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly to developers, executives, and students.
- Social-native: comfortable on camera, experienced creating short-form video content and writing engaging posts.
- Comfortable traveling domestically and internationally for events.

Nice-to-Have

- Experience with NVIDIA ecosystems (Omniverse, Metropolis, DeepStream, TAO, NIMs) or other accelerated computing stacks.
- Background in enterprise AI, visual intelligence, or quantum/optimization projects.
- Existing network in Bengaluru’s or Tampa’s developer, startup, and university communities.
- Open-source contributions, GitHub presence, or a public portfolio of talks/blogs/videos.

Deliverables & KPIs (12 Months)
