Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Coimbatore South.

The Design

Engineer will develop and modify 2D and 3D models for precision metal components, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with customer specifications and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with production and quality teams, preparing detailed technical drawings, and reviewing designs for cost, performance, and reliability. The role also involves supporting prototype development, documenting design changes, and communicating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve technical issues.

Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and support compliance with the company’s quality and safety certifications.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical design skills with proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and experience creating 2D/3D models and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, and surface treatment, with the ability to design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Understanding of industry standards and quality systems, ideally including ISO and IATF frameworks relevant to precision metal parts and engineering environments.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities for evaluating designs, performing basic engineering calculations, and addressing design-related issues on the shop floor.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers, and to prepare clear technical documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with prior experience in component or product design preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore South, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing environment.
